Requirements:   Seagoing candidates with upgraded license preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  NAVAL CENTRAL COMMAND (NAVCENT) is the most challenging area of operations spanning over 20 million square miles of sea space and the three most important choke points in the world.  SSO will integrate into NAVCENT NCAGS DET advising the Commander to ensure free flow of commerce in the AOR.   Primary responsibilities are to provide Maritime Domain Awareness products and Merchant Marine Expertise to NAVCENT/C5F and supporting Task Force Commanders (CTFs) for insuring safety of merchant shipping and de-confliction of military operations.   Secondary responsibilities includes LNO position to subordinate CTFs through manning NCAGS desk.  Daily tasks include analysis of AIS driven MDA applications SeaVision and AIS Live, integration into Major Command staff and providing Flag level briefs.
