POSITION DESCRIPTION: Primary role of this training opportunity is to provide Reduced Operating Status (ROS) crew support to MARAD vessels on the West Coast. You will be assigned to your vessel for familiarization and tasking from SSO PAC Operations Officer. Under the direction of the Vessels OIC, you will work with the appropriate department onboard, assisting with the ship’s required maintenance schedule, tests, drills, and inspections of the vessel. This is a hands-on opportunity and is an excellent ADT for all SSOs for promotion and professional development.
